Why I Believe Every Body Deserves a Safe Space to Heal

There’s something sacred about the way a body softens when it feels truly safe.

As a bodyworker and pelvic floor therapist, I’ve witnessed that moment — the deep exhale, the subtle shift, the letting go — again and again. And it never loses its magic. Because healing doesn’t happen through force. It happens through safety.

This belief isn’t just part of my professional philosophy — it’s deeply personal.

A Season of Healing (For Me, Too)

This month, I’m in my own healing cocoon. I’m having knee surgery and taking time to fully recover — physically, emotionally, and energetically.

It’s a strange and beautiful thing to be the one lying down instead of holding space. To pause. To ask my body what it needs. To listen.

And if I’m being honest — this slower season has only deepened my commitment to the work I do.

Because even as I rest, I’m reminded how powerful it is to have the right support, a nurturing space, and time to tend to the body — gently, intentionally, and without judgment.

Why I Have Leaned Deeper into Pelvic Floor Therapy

For years, I’ve been passionate about supporting women through holistic bodywork. But lately, something’s shifted. I’m being called to go deeper — into pelvic floor therapy as a central part of my practice.

Why? Because I’ve seen firsthand how pelvic health is whole-body health.

It’s connected to:

  • Your posture, hips, and spine

  • Your breath and nervous system

  • Your digestion and emotional processing

  • Your strength, stability, and sense of trust in your own body

And too many women are silently struggling — with tension they don’t have language for, with symptoms they’ve normalized, and with shame they never asked to carry.

I want to change that.

The Environment That Informs My Work

My approach and happy place in supporting women has always been in creating safety, sanctuary, and a space to release and heal. This past year I had the opportunity to move into a new space within the Suite Life Spa and this new space has felt so aligned and helped me to open up so much more room for supporting my clients and leaning into that sanctuary & spa like feeling through pelvic floor therapy.

Whether I’m working one-on-one or creating restorative resources for clients, I’m always thinking: 💭 How can we make this feel safer? 💭 How can we support the nervous system, not just the muscles? 💭 How can we allow the body to trust again — at its own pace?

My approach to pelvic floor therapy isn’t clinical and cold. It’s warm, intentional, grounded, and rooted in relationship. It’s about helping you reconnect with your body as a friend, not a problem to be fixed.

What’s Next

This season of slowing down has helped me reimagine how I want to support you.

As I recover from surgery and reset my own body, I’m also pivoting my practice temporarily to online support for check ins  — making pelvic floor therapy accessible for my clients while I allow my body to heal.

In addition, be on the lookout for more opportunities to connect and learn more about my modalities and pelvic floor therapy options via online masterclasses & Q&A sessions in the near future!

If You’re Craving That Space to heal…

Whether you’re postpartum, dealing with pain, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from your body — I see you.

You don’t have to muscle through it. You don’t have to do it alone. You just need a place to begin — where you’re met with care, curiosity, and compassion.

And I’d be honored to hold that space for you.
