Our Founders Story

As the owner of Empowered Foundations, I’m so happy you are here! Both my personal experiences of pelvic floor dysfunction and the shared stories of many women in my life have inspired me to build a practice supporting women, centered on empowering an underserved population in our healthcare system through pelvic health.

Both clients and friends have shared stories of myths and disservice including hearing, “Sexual intimacy is supposed to be uncomfortable”; “My doctor said, Just do Kegels”; “ It’s normal to leak urine postpartum”;  “I’ll never have a strong core again.”

I am committed to educating, empowering, and advocating for women to expect better. Sexual intimacy can and should be pleasurable; diastasis and prolapse are not life sentences to stop being active; it is not normal to leak urine because you’ve had a baby.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it may be common, but it isn’t normal - I can help you!

I believe in practicing a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy. I have never given the same treatment twice, because it's entirely individualized. I believe that receiving therapeutic touch and bodywork is one of the most important of aspects of healing. I am passionate about normalizing conversations about pelvic and sexual health and educating and empowering women in our community. Please allow me to show you how to create support systems, rediscover your own body, use your daily activities to strengthen your core and pelvic floor - and heal.
